Conference Call: Initiate a conference by adding a call to an ongoing call. Audio conferencing can be done with up to 6 participants (1+5) and video conferencing with up to 4 participants (1+3).

Unified Messaging for SMS& Chat: With the JioCall application you send and receive from your Jio sim to another mobile number. Set JioCall as your default messaging app to manage all your SMS and chat threads in one box.

Installation process

Below is the exact process to set up the JioCall to Mobiles:

  • Install the app on your mobile using My Jio app or directly from the Playstore
  • If your mobile capability id 3G then an app makes you connect to your JioFi Wi-Fi network
  • No worry If you are a 4G customer
  • Once the app connected, it will verify the Jio connection
  • Then tap Get Started
  • Make your Jio SMS and calls to set in default, you can tap No on this if you prefer.

Using Process 

  • Tap on connect, just keep your phone near to your ear to automatically start the call
  • Even you are calling to same Jio user, you can also prepare the call
  • Tap on the camera icon on the left to send an image, the location icon in the middle to send your location, or the urgent call icon on the right to mark the call as urgent, with a short message
  • The user can tap on Video icon on the bottom left to place a video call
  • Or also can tap on the phone icon on the bottom right to place a voice call.

Advantages and Disadvantages

Advantages:

Free SMS and Voice Calls- Unlimited free texts and voice calls are the main reasons for the crowd going crazy behind the new network. But according to the terms and conditions, you are allowed to send only 100 SMS daily.

Free-Roaming Services Nation Wide- This is the first network service that providing a free-roaming system in the country. Previously, the huge roaming charges were a nightmare for almost everyone. This might be done only with the Jio network and Jio team.

The free Wi-Fi data network- Apart from the 4G network that Jio offering, it also has the Wi-Fi data system. By this, you can free Wi-Fi data from specified Wi-Fi hotspots across the country by Reliance.

Voice over LTE calls- This feature is comparatively new in the county but voice clarity excellent in the audio. The service can be availed Only of your phone supports VoLTE. The normal 4G LTE pones don’t support this. The data should be switched on all the time to receive or make calls.

LTE Network- the Jio offers only LTE service network, the user no need to worry about the network dropping to 2G or 3G, which switches down to 2G or 3G when there is no network, the Jio network cleanly oversteps them all.

Disadvantages:

Daily Data Cap- the amount of 4G data that can be used per day is limited to 4GB. After using the 4GB, then the download speed will go down to 128kbps.

Refill to call- The user has to refill your phone with a data pack.

The Night- The night in Jio is defined as the time between 2 Am and 5 Am, which means this offer will be valid during this time, unlike other networks that their night data from 11 PM to 7 AM.
